The Transeurope project was initiated in order to bring together artists from all over Europe who use photography in their art, taking three countries as its main pillars and then developing activities in their neighboring European Union regions. Over the course of two years, three organisations—The Finnish Museum of Photography (Finland), Euromare (Greece) and PHotoESPAÑA (Spain)—designed and executed a program of training activities, events and exhibitions as part of the Creative Europe program (Cooperation Projects) of the European Commission.

In all its stages, Transeurope create a community of photographers and experts willing to exchange ideas, network, meet and share their different approaches to the medium. This publication provides a physical imprint of the project, including a selection of 31 works by the artists who participated in the Portfolio Reviews.
